OKay, here's another one. I hope it's alright for me to open up another topic instead of compiling my poems into one...
This is also written last year...
My Sweet Codeine
I dropped a clue at your door,
Hoping you would find my medicine,
You did and you gave me yours,
Thank you for reviving me,
But I am not much of a chemist,
I still wait there on my deathbed,
For your shots that you rarely give.
Sympathize a crippled soul,
Enough of your gentle kiss,
The poison you gifted me finally sparked,
Unaware of the venom on your lips,
It runs in me slowly,
Pinching my flesh,
Throbbing my heart.
Love is like a drug,
Oh, I am in your heaven,
I see butterflies and flowers,
The essence has intrigued me,
How foolish of me to consume this,
My sight is clouded from the truth,
My ears are clogged with ignorance.
You handed me your pills,
And this is how I show my gratitude,
I got too high, what is going on?
Is Ecstasy playing with me?
I wake up seeing paradise is gone,
In this Eden you deal even more,
I desire to make it mine and only mine.
I watch you give it away,
With these green eyes,
Igniting my inner embers,
I pity those tricked traders,
I want them to vanish,
But for the sake of the sweet Codeine,
I kept silent like a loyal dog.
I must be a Junkie,
My addiction is intense,
But you barely sense my faith and distress,
Draining out my vigour,
I am sinking into the ocean of fire,
Drowning yet painfully struggling,
Reaching out for you.
